10% off Ali Imdad ‘Muslim World Desserts’ London pop-up

10% OFF Quote “Feed the Lion” to Ali Imdad and co before ordering

In this highly Islamophobic world, this pop-up aims to showcase the influence the Muslim world has had on world cuisine.

Ali Imdad will be leading “London’s first premium pop-up dessert parlour” next week to celebrate flavours from the Muslim World for an entire month.

The former Great British Bake Off contestant has teamed up with gelato pop-up shop Milk Cafe to showcase some mouth-watering desserts next Friday.

The collaboration titled ‘Desserts & the Muslim World’ will be taking place at Bake Street, a fully Halal cafe in Stoke Newington, from 13th April till 13th May between 5.30pm-11pm.

Ali told FtL: “The point of it is to really highlight the flavours and aromas and spices and ingredients of the Muslim world.

“You should expect to see popular desserts on the menu like gooey brownies and warm cookie doughs, but they will have a twist to them! They will be incorporated with flavours from the Muslim world, so expect popular flavours from Iran, or Pakistan, or Malaysia, etc. It’s going to be something no one has seen before. A dessert parlour that’s like an art exhibition for your taste buds.”

Milk Cafe owner Lee Posey, who has known Ali for a long time, confirmed with FtL that “the desserts Ali has created are not only absolutely stunning to look at, they are also indulgently delicious”.

While Ali will be the first chef to be working with Milk Cafe, it will also be the first time that they will be holding a pop-up in London.

“The Muslim community in particular have really grown to love him, which is why he was the perfect candidate to host our first pop up,” Lee said, adding: “I know he has a deep passion for his faith, and the spices and flavours the Muslim world has to offer. In this highly Islamophobic world, this pop-up aims to showcase the influence the Muslim world has had on world cuisine. It will also allow people to appreciate the variety of cultures of the Muslim world.”

The culinary event is expected to be a popular one and with limited spaces organisers are recommending that tables be booked early to avoid disappointment.

Ali has confirmed that there will also be gluton-free choices available.
