2018 year in review

2018 – A Year in Review

In the very first month of 2018, we received the fantastic news of being recognised for all our hard work the previous year by being awarded the inaugural Official Halal Awards 2017’s “Halal Food Blog of the year”.

That spurred us even more to reach greater heights of achievements; and we believe we have, with this year turning out to be Feed the Lion’s biggest yet. Here’s a statistical breakdown of how we’ve been at the forefront of the UK’s Halal culinary scene.

#FtLion.co.uk attracted a total of 825,000 pageviews this year!
With an measly bounce rate of just 1.25%!
And averaging 3.25 pages/session!

27 “Your Say” Reviews

One of the reasons FtL was launched was to provide a platform for the many who pay good money visiting restaurants to have their voices heard. Our ‘Your Say‘ section is, therefore, as important as any other. Thank you to each and everyone of you who’ve contributed towards furthering this site’s objective and empowering you – the good consumers.

This year, our most viewed Your Say was Halal Japanese C&R Izakaya ‘a hidden gem’!

Featured Editorials have been a central pillar of FtL’s editorial output. As with every year, our most popular editorial (shamelessly replicated by some, though never surpassed!) was the Ramadan Iftar ‘N Suhoor In London And Beyond.

23 Recipes

Recipes from celebrity and amateur chefs, including a number of exclusives contributed by award-winning food author Lina Saad (winner of the Gourmand World Cookbook Award 2018 for Best Book in the World), have kept us hungry for longer than we care to remember.
