London’s Halal burger brand Amigos has had the application for late-night opening hours for its Fulham branch rejected.

The decision made by Hammersmith and Fulham Council followed 46 objections from residents, councillors, and MP Ben Coleman, who cited concerns about crime, antisocial behaviour, noise, and litter.

Residents referenced recent police action over local antisocial behaviour and the rejection of other late-night licences, including a 24-hour McDonald’s proposal.

At the hearing, locals criticised the absence of the restaurant’s directors and argued that approval would set a dangerous precedent for future applications.

The council ruled the restaurant must close by 11pm, citing the risk of public nuisance and harm to residential amenity.
