Halal Chapati Man launch dark kitchen in CamdenHALAL STATUS Fully Halal
“The world’s first ghost kitchen Indian franchise”, Chapati Man, have confirmed with FtLion that their entire menu is fully Halal.
What’s more, they’re opeing a ghost or dark kitchen site in north London’s Camden towards the middle of this month – the first of many new sites launching across London.
Co-owner Chris Rai has confirmed with FtLion that their entire menu is Halal with the meat sourced from a supplier in west London.
Dark Kitchens (aka Ghost-, Cloud-, Virtual, or Delivery-only Kitchens) are commercial kitchens that focus on affordable food for take-out and delivery.
Having launched the festival, event and street food business back in 2007, the husband and wife team of Chris and Andrea Rai are also behind Jacuna kitchens.
Chapati Man’s menu revolves around the build-your-own meal concept with four curries fillings to choose from to build you Thali Wrap or Thali Box, along with a trio of sides.
Without the financial overheads of a traditional restaurant business, these kitchens are able to run a cost-effective setup thereby providing meals that are more affordable in comparison.
These delivery-based kitchens allow customers to order online through their own website or app, or third-party delivery partners.
For on-line ordering and managed marketing, Chapati Man have partnered with Otter; PKL, a leading supplier of kitchen equipment; and Wrap N Pac, an eco-friendly packaging company that is 100% natural and compostable.
