Dubai’s The Peri Experts land in Leicester today

After a blogger-inspired promotional soft opening, today at noon will see the UK debut of the well known Dubai chicken brand Grillo in Leicester.

But with the name already trademarked in the UK, the business will be opening under the name The Peri Experts along with 25% off everything for the day.

Located on Granby Street and describing themselves as “A Healthier Option”, the brand is renowned for using neither oil nor fat in its cooking process.

With four restaurants established across the UAE, the owners are hoping that their seven peri peri sauces, which range from peri-lite to extra hot, will be a hit with the locals.

Chicken will of course feature heavily on the fully Halal menu with whole, half or quarter chicken being made available alongside the option of wings and strips.

But the owners are including other items too such as a variety of burgers, pizzas and wraps, as well as marinated prawns and lamb chops.

The restaurant will be a family-friendly one and will aim at delivering a speedy service.
