Indian chef Abdul Yaseen to open Dhol in Southampton
HALAL STATUS Fully HalalA multi-award winning chef is preparing to launch his latest restaurant in Southampton.
Renowned Muslim Chef Abdul Yaseen is scheduled to open Indian eatery Dhol very soon.
While a launched date is yet to be announced, they will be taking over from La Brasserie on the corner of Oxford Street and John Street near Queen’s Park.
According to Dhol’s Instagram account: “Dhol celebrates flavours of the Indian subcontinent, aromatic spices, authentic dishes, and lively culture of people celebrating life through food.”
Chef Abdul Yaseen informed FtLion that the restaurant will be fully Halal, with a soft opening date to be announced soon.
Having won a number of accolades over his distinguished career, including 2-time winner of the British BBQ Championships, he was originally part of the founding team behind iconic London restaurant, The Cinnamon Club.
Abdul Yaseen then went solo in 2015 with fine-dining venue Darbaar in London’s Chelsea (rated 5/5).
Having later established Indian takeaway brand Barbers Bazaar in London, he also runs his influential consultancy agency AY Hospitality.
