A coffee brand that began in Saudi Arabia’s capital Riyadh has debuted in one of London’s emerging coffee districts today.

The fully Halal Jolt opened its doors in Fitzrovia early this morning and will be serving coffee roasted by Nude in east London.

Located on Great Castle Street near Oxford Street, the cafe will, however, be competing against the highly Instagrammable Halal chain Elan around the corner in Belgravia.

Confirming that “everything is Halal at Jolt”, prepare yourself for multi-coloured marbled drinks served by black-gloved staff – a feature common to their branches in Riyadh and Marbella in Spain.

Jolt’s signatures will be their “Spanish Lattes” – coffee unashamedly marbled with condensed milk – Pistachio Lattes, as well as what’s known as Black Ice, which is frozen cubes of coffee that’ll be melted under hot milk.

The food options will include pastries and some small plates, among other things, which are said to revolve around “distinctive flavours” and “refined ingredients” like dates, rose harissa, pine nuts, and miso.
