London Halal Food Festival 2021 – London Stadium
Believe it or not, it was around this time two years ago that food enthusiasts from across the capital and beyond gathered to celebrate the London Halal Food Festival.
This weekend sees “the world’s best Halal food festival in the world” back and living up to the promise of delivering a “bigger and better” event, thanks to the hard work of the man behind this festival Waleed Jahangir.
Thousands of hungry food lovers gathered at the London Stadium in Stratford to enjoy products and cuisines from across the globe and to meet some of the UK’s most exciting food entrepreneurs and restaurateurs.
With 150 food stalls spread across Queen Elizabeth Park, the Covid-safe initiative had something for everyone ranging from mouth-watering mocktails and fresh smoothies to the Dessert Zone Shop and more. Here’s FtLion’s overview of the London Halal Food Festival 2021.

We all know karak chai is currently everyone’s cup of tea with the number of chai cafes dotted across the UK. Was it any surprise then that up-and-coming tea specialists 24 Karak’s stand was pouring their product non-stop?
One of the highlights of this year was the gourmet meat stands filling the air with the mouth-watering aromas of grilled meat.
These included the popular online butchers That Fat Cow, as well as Smoke & Bones owner Awais who gave a demo during the Tarik Halal cookery theatre on how to cook a barbeque chicken burger using his fancy £250 Everdure grill by Heston Blumenthal.
The Ojos Foods were also drawing a crowd with their award-winning and unique Spanish produce, with owner Encina proudly displaying her company’s accolades including the El Abuelo Maragato picking up the Great Taste Award 2019.
In the end, the food kept cooking throughout the day, with today being the final day for you to pop down and enjoy some tasty fully Halal grub.
