An award-winning noodle house will be helping to raise vital funds for a maternity hospital in Palestine this weekend.

Panda’s Kitchen in east London will be donating all its proceeds this Sunday 13 June to renowned international charity organisation Islamic Relief.

2019’s Deliveroo Best Halal Award Winner says the money will be going towards the purchase of “necessary equipment” for Al-Shifa Maternity Hospital in the Gaza Strip.

“When we say 100%, we mean 100%,” the HMC-certified restaurant said, adding that this “is the only hospital that provides maternity services in the North and Gaza governorates”.

Due to a huge need which the old hospital was unable to fulfil, the decision was made in December 2020 that a new hospital wing be constructed.

But Panda’s Kitchen clarified: “But they are unable to purchase the necessary equipment to keep the maternity hospital operating. We strongly believe that this is a worthy cause and would really appreciate your support in spreading the word.”

Located on 396 Katherine Road in Forest Gate, the noodle place will be open from 12.30pm until 10.30pm this Sunday.
