Plan Burrito launches in London Camden & confirms Halal status

Multi-award winning Plan Burrito hasn’t just made its London debut (credit to Zaman Siddiqui), but also informed FtLion of its Halal status.
Having launched on the corner of Russel Square Gardens in Bloomsbury, the brand introduces its range of Tex-Mex street food with “distinctive and indulgent flavours”.
A spokesperson at Plan Burrito confirmed that, similar to their first branch in Loughborough, their second on Southampton Row will be serving Halal beef and chicken with certificates available on request.
The spokesperson further clarified that unlike their branch in Leicestershire, this one is entirely pork-free, with no alcohol being used as an ingredient.
Plan Burrito says on its website: “With the majority of our ingredients being imported from Mexico we promise to serve truly authentic, high-quality, fresh & tasty Mexican street food.?”
The brand has won a flurry of awards since launching in 2015 that includes: Most Outstanding Mexican Cuisine Leicestershire 2021 by Global In- sight Awards, and Best Street Food Cuisine Restaurant Franchise 2021 by SME News Midlands Enterprise Awards.
