Arguably the biggest news thus far in 2023 was the launch announcement of #FtLionAwards ‘Restaurant of the Year’ 2022 winner Ribeye’s new mega-restaurant in Birmingham.

Monday 12 June will see the grand opening of their second site opposite the National Sea Life Centre in the westside district of the city’s bustling waterside leisure destination Brindley Place.

Ribeye was one of the highlights of FtLion’s Manchester Halal Food Tour last year being rated a perfect 5/5 for its sumptuous interior and, of course, outstanding food that included world-class steaks.

This fully Halal venue is no less opulent than its sister-site in Manchester’s First Street, catering as it does for upto 130 diners, with outdoor seating for 38 in a beautiful enclosed terrace, and an indoor private dining room for 18 guests that boasts display units of Ribeye’s huge assortment of de-alcoholised Halal wines.

With a prayer room also installed, their resplendent main dining area, complete with eye-catching chandeliers, can not only cater for 58 diners, but offers bar-side seating for an additional 16.

Award-winning menu & wagyu steaks aplenty

And of course their menu is just as spectacular as their award-winning Manchester branch with the Chef’s starter platter for two comprising of Beef Ribs, Chicken Wings, Prawns, Bocconcini, and Lamb Chops served with dippings.

In addition there will be premium steaks which includes the 400-day, corn-fed, grade 8+ Wagyu, as well as 35 days dry-aged Aberdeen steaks and Creekstone beef.

For mains, dishes to look out for are Pan Fried Breast of Chicken, a larger rack of Beef Ribs, Baked Cannon of Lamb, and Homemade Truffle Ravioli, with plenty of side such as Truffle Gnocchi or Gratan Dauphinois.

Ribeye has the distinction of housing some of the UK restaurant’s biggest and most ambitious dry bars, with its Manchester branch being the city’s first such when it opened in 2019.
