Popeyes Louisiana Chicken opens today in Manchester Arndale

Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen is to launch its second Manchester site in Arndale shopping centre today.

With this being their 33rd UK site, and the first in Piccadilly Gardens, the American chicken brand announced: “Get ready for bold Louisiana flavours, the iconic Chicken Sandwich, Southern Biscuits with Cajun Gravy and that signature 12-hour marinated, hand-breaded shatter-crunch fried chicken.

“And it doesn’t stop there… by popular demand, the Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich is back just in time for opening day! It’s joined by the new Hot Honey Saucin’ Boneless, Saucin’ Wings, and the Hot Honey Box Meal.”

While all UK branches serve a fully Halal food menu, FtLion has been informed that Popeyes’ breakfast menu is not Halal, with a representative clarifying: “We don’t serve chicken at breakfast, but our chicken served with our daytime menu remains Halal.”

Their website states: “Sourcing UK Sourced, Red Tractor chicken,” before adding: “Everyone is welcome at our table. All of our chicken is Halal and we have certification from the Halal Monitoring Board.”
