‘The official king of curry’ has revealed the much anticipated opening date to its new flagship store in Blackburn town centre.

Having taken over a venue at the side of King George’s Hall in Northgate, Akbar’s has finally announced the grand opening to its latest eatery.

With doors opening this Friday 8 March, this 200-seater restaurant will be the award-winning curry house’s 11th site overall.

FtLion visited Akbar’s legendary site during its Halal restaurant tour of Bradford in 2022 where it rated their Pakistani menu 4.5/5.
