Apple Butter Cafe is an all-day “East meets West fusion” eatery that recently soft launched in Covent Garden and offers a Middle-Eastern inspired menu.

Located on Monmouth Street, this eat-in cafe is a fully Halal establishment that’s currently test driving its selection of desserts alongside its freshly-baked cakes and pastries.

Established by brothers Saleh and Mohammad Alayan and Faycal Abdel Khalek, the restaurant is, as the name suggests, all about apples to the point that it even has an apple tree situated inside.

Open Monday to Sunday from 9am, Apple Butter Cafe serves speciality coffees and a variety of quite unique-sounding dishes with the following serving as an example:

  • Goat Labneh Salad – with Mesclun, baby spinach, caramelised walnuts, goji berries, balsamic dressing.
  • Chicken Yakitori – served with honey mustard mayo, baby rocket, pickles and soya sesame oil.
  • Lotus Flower dessert – filled with chocolate ganache, chocolate chips, topped with ice cream and caramel sauce.
