Having recently launched in Birmingham, fully Halal pizza brand Caprinos are preparing to launch their 40th branch in Oxfordshire.

Following a busy opening on Birmingham Road in Dutton Coldfield, the franchise’s big four-zero will be in Northcourt, Abingdon.

Expected to open by the end of March or early April, according to local news reports, Caprinos has come a long way since opening its first in Broadway Didcot in 2014.

Co-director Khalil Rehman, from Bicester, reportedly said: “A lot of people in Oxfordshire know us already and we have a good reputation.

“People were worried about littering but we won’t have that issue. The new store will also create more local jobs in the area of Abingdon.”

After 2014, Caprinos branched out to Aylesbury before a spate of launches saw seven open in four years including Headington and Cowley Road in Oxford, and in Faringdon, Banbury, Andover, Stoke and Newbury.

Having won the Pizza and Pasta award in 2018 and 2020, Caprinos are also known for their gigantic 18” pizzas among an assortment of others.

While an opening date for Abingdon is still forthcoming, the brand now boasts branches in Wales, Birmingham and Nottingham.
