Dishoom in London’s Covent Garden will be relaunching next month after closing in January this year and undergo a major redesign to mark the café’s 10th anniversary.

The new-and-improved restaurant, which offers Halal choices, will soft open from 18th November till 3rd December ahead of the official opening on 4th December.

During this soft launch period, guests will be able to enjoy 50% off food on Upper St Martin’s Lane, which is part of the newly redeveloped section, The Yards.

Paying homage to the Irani cafés of Bombay, this new design draws on the heritage of the Bombay theatres that were reincarnated as state-of-the-art cinemas.

Executive Chef Naved Nasir’s menu of Bombay food will include his brand-new Special: Tila-Foi’s Very Best Masala Fish, created especially for the reopening.

There will also be Auntyji’s recipe, refined over decades, with the dish seeing two fillets of sea bream marinated in Tila-foi’s masala, griddled within a banana leaf and served to share.

While Dishoom will be donating a meal to charity partners, Magic Breakfast and Akshaya Patra, for every meal served, bookings for the soft launch are now open via www.dishoom.com/reservations.
