The Doner Guys launch in Tower Hamlets todayHALAL STATUS Fully Halal
Launching in east London’s Tower Hamlets later this afternoon, a new doner kebab shop will be facing stiff competition from within the Halal doner market.
Located on Burdett Road and taking over from Halal grill house Bathak, The Doner Guys is scheduled to launch at noon with wraps and burgers also on the menu.
It will be going up against the likes of German Doner Kebab on Mile End and East Ham; Doner & Gyros (rated a solid 4/5) also in the Tower Hamlets borough; and The Ottoman Doner which launched earlier this year in east London’s Manor Park.
With no seating capacity, the business will operate primarily as a takeaway with a one-set size for all its three doner choices: Lamb Shawarma, Chicken Shawarma, and Lamb Doner.
The Doner Guys will be serving some Turkish Mezes too that include: Humus (of course), Halloumi, Falafel, and Sucuk, as well as Nagachun which is a spicy version of the Lamachun – a Turkish flatbread topped with herbaceous minced meat (also available), and the Cheesychun.
Along with a number of Wraps that include mixed doner and adana kofte, there will also be Lamb and Chicken Burgers, with The Doner Guys’ Special Burger (one lamb and one beef) being their main sell.
