‘Luxury’ Doux Desserts parlour opens in Birmingham



A “luxury dessert parlour” opened in Birmingham’s Fox and Goose, Hodge Hill, specialising in “the art of hand made Swiss ice cream”.

Doux Desserts is a beautifully decked out eatery complete with chandeliers and spacious booth-seating for around 60.

On the menu there’s waffles, crepes, pancakes, cookie dough, as well as an assortment of ice creams that include flavours like Swiss Chocolate and Raspberry Panna Cotta.

Alongside the ice creams, they also serve a selection of cakes attractively showcased in a large counter.

As for Doux Desserts’ waffles, crepes and pancakes, then you can expect flavour combinations similar to the following:

  • Le Grande Amore – Warmed nutella, ferrero rocher, crushed nuts, served with hazelnut ice cream and a drizzle of white sauce.
  • La Blanche – Melted Belgium white sauce, chopped Rafaello’s sprinkled crushed nuts and a scoop of coconut ice cream.
  • Doucer – Maple syrup, bananas, caramel syrup, served with a scoop of banana ice cream and cream.
