Karak Chaii opens new London cafe in Ilford

Karak Chaii has opened another store in London this time in the east side of the capital.
With their Ilford branch having launched in Cranbrook Road, this is the Indian karak tea brand’s 17th UK store.
While the store in Nottingham, which opened last year in October, was their actual 17th, it appears that sometime since then, one of their cafes closed down.
In any case, this opening is part of a nationwide drive to open 68 stores in the next two years, the brand announced two years ago.
This store also highlights the strength of a Halal restaurant trend that revolves around South Asian brewed tea (see Let the chaii wala chai wars begin for more details).
