A new kebab house in Slough that promises “flavour with a flair” has opened to favourable feedback from customers.

Located on Farnham Road not too far from competition like Grill Street, Kebabwala is a 34-cover restaurant and takeaway that cooks everything “on a charcoal grill for that authentic Punjabi experience”.

The succucint menu offers Kebab Rolls, Chicken Doner, Lamb Shawarma, Chicken and Lamb Tikka, Mix Rolls, Lamb Chops, Chicken Wings, and some impressively large Platters that include their Mega version for a whopping £59.99.

And reviews across Facebook have so far been positive with one kebab enthusiast, Omar Ahmad, simply remarking: “I tried the mix grill in fresh naan and it was banging!!!”

Deciding to “put it through its paces” was Adil Iqbal who, while describing it as “a no frills type joint with some decent space for seating”, said that unlike other places that only use gas, Kebabwala cook all their meat “on a proper charcoal BBQ”.

Opting for a mixed roll comprising of two sheek kebabs and one skewer of chicken tikka, which all “smelt really good”, Adil added: “The mix they used for the kebabs was on point and both the kebabs and the chicken tikka was super tender and soft and well seasoned.”

While he also “noticed they use fresh meat like shawarma style for their donners rather than the processed stuff most people use which is another plus”, Adil concluded that this is now his “new best place in Slough to get desi-style kebabs from”.

  • I tried the simple kebab roll, must say it was amazing, what makes it even better and worth it is the use of fresh meat and not a frier in sight. The meat was cooked to perfection this left me licking my lips.

  • Kebabwala in the process of starting real gourmet burgers cooked on their charcoal grill, they told me mid January as they are still developing the burgers and toppings.
    Based on their current range I can’t wait.

  • Must say had a mixed kebab roll cooked to perfection awesome mix of sauces and salad now I’m hooked. Five stars for quality of your food, seating, great staff members and the general atmosphere is too good. Great place to eat.
