Today sees the opening to two Halal brands that are as far apart in terms of cuisine as you can get.

While burger aficionados Lawless City Burger launch their second street food truck in Kentish Town, pan-Asian Woksta open in Corringham, Essex.

Located on St John’s Way, the latter are offering a massive 50% off the entire menu until 10 February, though only for orders over £25.

Providing “the best authentic street food in town” with ‘create your own’ wok bowls, this will be the takeaway noodle brand’s fourth branch with stores in Twyford, Slough and Staines.

They also do Phat Wraps filled with egg fried rice, wok fried favourites with sriracha mayo and sprinkled with fried onion, and Super Sides that include a variety of Prawns such Tempura Panko, Torpedo Breaded, and Mango Chilli.

Lawless City Burger, whose first London food truck in Canning Town’s Rathbone Market we featured last month, have taken Unit 12 at Foodstars’ commercial kitchen on JML House Regis Road.

These dissident rule-breakers will be making their gourmet burgers available for delivery through Deliveroo (25% off the entire menu for orders over £10), Just Eat, and Uber Eats.
