Legendary fine-dining restaurant Cona launch in Manchester
HALAL STATUS Fully HalalOne of the UK’s leading fully Halal steakhouse concept Cona has opened a second site this time in Manchester.
While its iconic first branch opened in Bradford’s Little Germany in 2014 (rated 5/5 by FtLion), this latest 50-cover restaurant is located in Ancoats’ Blossom Street.
Owner Armi has created an interior that fits his ambitious fully Halal menu that’s known for its large selection of steaks, which includes the rare Japanese A5 Wagyu.
Cona is also known for its innovative fine-dining dishes with refined food that includes USDA Prime BBQ Short Rib that’s been inspired by Armi’s “travel around the U.S. — from Texas smokehouses to LA’s Korean BBQ”.
Other dishes include King Prawn Tempura that’s been inspired by celebrity Japanese Chef Nobu Matsuhisa, to the signatue Truffle Chicken which is taken from Cona’s cookbook.
