Indonesian Lucky Cock introduces its chicken to London

The Southeast Asian flavours of Indonesia have arrived to London’s Marylebone in the form of new brand Lucky Cock.

Located on Seymour Place, this delivery (Uber Eats) and pick-up-only kitchen has confirmed with FtLion that almost all of its menu is Halal.

“We source Halal chickens from our butcher and use no pork. However, for the soy chicken dish, there is rice wine where the alcohol is burned off. Everything else on the menu is purely Halal.”

Regarding the soy chicken dish, the owner clarified further: “It’s cooked in it’s own pot and not contaminated with anything else.”

The menu itself is a short one specialising in fresh, fragrant and punchy Indonesian comfort food and chicken dishes, with vegetarian options, small plates and sides available too.

Featuring Lucky Cock’s signature rice bowls, the choices include Balinese Sisit Chicken with shredded spiced chicken, green bean salad, crispy tofu and chilli egg; a rich and coconutty chicken rendang, and the ever-popular nasi goreng (available with or without chicken).

Those looking for more can go all-out and order a half or whole fried, with everything being served with spicy Indonesian sambals and vinaigrettes, with the option of customising the meals via a range of sides including chilli eggs, crunchy cucumber pickles and green bean salad.
