A new restaurant that’s “bringing an innovative reinvention of the classic American Steakhouse” has soft launched in Birmingham’s Edgbaston.

Following the first week, Meat Club on Hagley Road will begin the second of their soft opening today with the addition of more items until 29 May next Saturday when they officially launch.

With dine-in limited to online bookings only, including the opportunity of 30% off the bill, guests can start off with Appetisers like Four Cheese Croquettes, Southern Buttermilk Chicken Tenders, and Seasonal Mushrooms & Sourdough Toast.

All their steaks are free range Aberdeen Black Angus and dry aged for a minimum of 35 days, and include three choices: Rib-Eye, T-Bone, and Flat Iron that’s sliced.

While the signature Classic MeatClub is part of their trio of burgers, for Mains there’s Grilled Chicken Breast, Luxe Fish & Chips with jumbo double fried chips, and Pan Fried Seabass.

With ‘farm to fork’ being one of their core principles, Meat Club states: “In an industry brimming with elusive marketing claims, knowing where your food comes from can be a headache. That’s why we keep it straightforward.

“Our meat goes straight from our local suppliers to the abattoir, then to our restaurant. It’s as simple as that. They’ll be NO hitchhiking of OUR meat!”

Judging by the interior, the restaurant itself certainly appears to be aiming for something more higher-end both in terms of its decor and presentation of food.

  • I went there the other day.

The food is great they just need to improve the service. If you are going to charge premium prices then you need premium service where the wait staff are attentive rather than trying to flag them down

  • Had a really good time there, easily the best halal steak house in Birmingham and West Midlands. Highly recommended.
