Cult chicken shop Morley’s will be openings its landmark 100th site and its debut in Brighton.
Located in Kemptown, the long-established brand will be introducing its chicken, burgers and spare ribs to the former Buon Appetito site on St James’s Street.
The brand, which has dominated the south of the capital since 1985, has told FtLion that while “most of our stores are Halal, but some are not… Our chicken is Halal at this shop. We will not be selling alcohol there”.
Although the brand is renowned for its fried chicken, it also offers around a dozen burgers, as well as wings and its famous BBQ ribs.
Morley’s managing director, Shan Selvendran, has reportedly said: “I want to be the number one in the UK. I don’t care who – we want to be bigger than KFC, Wingstop, anyone.”
