Tinseltown to launch diner in London Holloway today

HALAL STATUS Halal-friendly (NB – cannot guarantee branded confectionary Halal status)

Though you may have heard of Halal American diner brand, Tinseltown, we bet you can’t guess what year they first launched (hint: they’ve been around for a long time!).

While scratching your head over that, we can confirm that they’ll be opening a new addition to the family-franchise later today in Archway, north London.

Although an exact time has yet to been announced, their ninth store will be located opposite Whittington Park on the long stretch of Holloway Road.

As an American-style diner, while they specialise in “homemade burgers and premium quality milkshakes”, Tinseltown make one thing clear on their website that they “cannot 100% guarantee that branded confectionary items are Halal”.

But back to the question of when they first launched, then Tinseltown were established way back in 1996 in central London’s Farringdon.

With six locations across London, including one each in Leicester and Birmingham, like many fastfood brands, the franchise has had its fair share of hiccups along the way with a few closures across the capital that have included Hampstead and Ealing Broadway.

But with Croydon Box Park (unit 1 & 2) having only recently opened, their other London diners can be found at: Gants Hill, Bayswater, Great Portland Street, and Wood Green.
