Smashio served up its burgers in Basildon yesterday

Smashio opened its first site outside the capital in the Essex town of Basildon yesterday.

While the burger brand has two sites in London’s Shoreditch and Holloway, this third on East Walk is a sizeable one with plenty of indoor seating.

With a fully Halal menu, they serve the usual variety of chicken and smashed beef burgers, fries, sides, build-your-own option, desserts, shakes and more.

There’s a quartet of smashed burgers, as well as Panko and Buttermilk dried chicken burgers, with even a Smashio Loaded Box to consider.
