Afrikana introduces its pan-African cuisine to Coventry

Afrikana launched a restaurant in the city of Coventry this week with plans of opening quite a few more.

Located on Moore Street in Earlsdon, this is the brand’s 15th site in the UK to date, according to their website.

“COVENTRY – What a fantastic opening week! You welcomed us with open arms, and we’re just getting the show started,” Afrikana said on social media.

Beginning its journey in Aldridge back in 2018, Afrikana offers homecooked African-inspired dishes that include an assortment of burgers, wraps, chickens and specials, with sharing platters inspired by food from Kenya, Botswana, and Ethiopia.

Afrikana has also informed FtLion: “We are a fully certified Halal place; all our meals are Halal,” before adding: “None of our stores serve alcohol.”

With sites planned in London’s Hayes, Hounslow, and Ilford, other locations include Leeds, Sheffield, Southampton, Wolverhampton and Edinburgh.
