With Creams preparing to open its 37th London store this weekend, the brand’s founders have reportedly made some organisational changes at the top.

The dessert franchise will be celebrating the grand opening of its Putney restaurant on Sunday 15th by giving away 3,000 free scoops of gelato from 11am.

Located on Putney High Street, Creams is known for offering a full range of desserts, from sundaes, to waffles, loaded cookie doughs, pancakes, and doughnuts, with takeaway available via Uber Eats, Just Eat, and Deliveroo.

Meanwhile, founders Adam Mani and Balal Aqil have relinquished further control of the company over to majority shareholder Pistachio Holdings and co-investor Salonica Maroon.

The move means that while Adam steps down as CEO to assume the role of Chief Innovation Officer, Balal has left the Board of Directors to take on an advisory role.

Having won ‘Best Innovation’ at the Best Business Awards, and ‘Best Family Restaurant’ at the Deliveroo Restaurant Awards last year, Creams has also been placed in the UK’s top ten most loved Eating Out brands in 2019-2021 by Savanta Research.

Having opened over 10 new restaurants since the pandemic, with a further 15 opening in the next six months, Managing Director, Othman Shoukat, further revealed: “We signed our first overseas partner to open 22 stores in Egypt over the next five years.”
