Two factors favourably combined to help Creams dessert brand report a record-breaking 430,000 covers during the Eat Out To Help Out scheme last month.

The government’s successful discount scheme along with a month-long August heatwave saw Brits flock to 90 of its cafés across the UK to cool off.

With year-on-year August sales up almost 35%, the fully Halal business averaged a staggering 33,000 covers per day between Monday to Wednesday.

Despite the government deciding to halt the scheme, Creams has decided to join other Halal restaurants across the nation and extend the campaign by offering their own discount.

The brand announced earlier in the week that it will be offering customers 25% off the entire menu every Monday to Wednesday at select stores from September through to November.

Creams’ co-founder, Adam Mani, said: “It’s been a challenging few months, but the response to the Eat Out to Help Out scheme has been a real morale boost for the Creams team.

“Now more than ever, people need a little sweet relief and a touch of escapism, and I think that’s exactly what we provide at Creams with our larger-than-life desserts, and I think that’s the reason our sales have been so exceptionally strong.”
