A number of Halal restaurants across the UK will be generously donating their proceeds these next few weeks to help ease the suffering of the people of Palestine.

This initiative is in response to thousands of Palestinians in Gaza having been killed through an indiscriminate bombing campaign carried out by, what the South African President Cyril Ramaphosa recently dubbed, the “apartheid state” of Israel.

Established restaurant brand Steakout in south London’s Tooting will be running a ‘Dine 4 Palestine’ today on 116 Upper Tooting Road.

The steakhouse told FtLion that “all the people who come in to dine there full bill will be going to Palestine. We will also be having a bake sale at the front where all profits again go to Palestine”.

Bison Steakhouse in Leeds will not only be giving all proceeds made today at both its locations – 151 Dewsbury Road and 761 Leeds Road – to local charity The Akhirah Team, but is also providing a platform for local bakers to contribute to the cause.

On Friday 20th, Burger Bros in east London’s 123 Roman Road, who also run Bake Bros, will be donating all their proceeds made from 6pm till 1.30am, which includes orders made via Uber Eats.

Also in east London, Hiba Express will be involved in a ‘Come Dine For Palestine’ emergency fundraising dinner in association with MAP (Medical Aid for Palestine) on Sunday 12 November from 5-10pm (free parking available).

While tickets will be £35 per person and £300 for a table of ten (call 07391542959 for more details), the event is to be held at Eternity Hall on 135 Wadham Road and include a 3-course meal, canape drinks reception, raffle and auction, guest speakers, as well as stalls and exhibitions.
