Restaurants reopening lockdown London Halal

Restaurants which were originally forced into closure following lockdown are slowly but surely beginning to reopen.

And if news rumours are true that Prime Minister Boris Johnson is looking to fast-track the reopening of some restaurants, then the timing couldn’t be better.

While the government decides on a proposed change to the 2-metre social distancing rule, we’ve begun compiling a list of Halal and Halal-friendly restaurants that either reopened earlier this week or are scheduled to very soon.

So be sure to bookmark this page since we will be updating it as and when the inevitable news of other reopenings come our way (let us know of any below in the comments section).

OPENEDOPENING SOON

LONDON


Ariana (Kilburn) – Having opened their first 28-years-ago in Manhattan, New York City, their second is offering 20% off all takeaways and deliveries between 4pm-11pm.

Aya Lebanese Cuisine (Streatham) – While their other branches are open, this one’s opened with 20% off Click & Collect with the code: STREATHAM20 (valid till 5 June).

Belgrave (St John’s Wood) – They’ve published a Covid-19 menu for collection and free delivery via Ubereats, Deliveroo and JustEat.

Berenjak (King’s Cross) – Open from 5pm, this Iranian franchise is offering 20% off the first week via Deliveroo.

Bombay Bustle (Mayfair) – They’ve launched their Bombay Bustle At Home delivery and takeaway menu available within the M25, seven days a week.

Bombay Chow (Hammersmith) – With all-new Indian dishes, while they delivery, you can order direct and save 15% on collections.

Boof (Ealing) – Located on the Broadway with takeaway and delivery services if you fancy Persian.

Camden Market (Camden) – “Closely following government guidelines”, there’s a number of Halal eateries that are now open for collection and delivery only.

Cinnamon Kitchen (Battersea) – Chef Vivek Singh’s incredible food is reintroduced with an exciting takeaway service.

Dishoom (King’s Cross, Shoreditch, Kensington) – Back on Deliveroo with a refined menu, with all delivery orders coming with their Dishoom Masala Chai recipe.

Emy’s Kitchen (Stoke Newington) – Takeaway has started with pide, lahmacun, çorba, wraps, etc., available weekdays 3-9pm and weekends 12-9pm.

Grand Trunk Road (South Woodford) – Takeaway menu is available with allocated collection times “adhering to strict covid government guidelines”.

Great Chase, The (Clerkenwell) – The fine-dining restaurant is back for collection and delivery via Uber Eats (possibly Deliveroo). 

Kashmir Restaurant (Putney) – Described as “the only Kashmiri Restaurant in GB”, they’re now open for takeaway and delivery.

Nasi Economy Rice (Holloway) – This Malaysian deli is operating same day collection and delivery (8-mile radius), with all orders pre-paid online (Wed-Sat 11.30am-4.30pm).

Old Spitalfields Market (Spitalfields) – This iconic market has Halal Indo-go Rasoi, as well as Merkamo Ethiopian that’s fully Vegan.

Ottoman Doner, The  (Manor Park) – The award-winning kebab specialists reopen for takeaway only.

Sequence (Kentish Town) – BBQ with an East African twist offering contactless delivery and collection Sun-Fri 5-9pm.

Spice Village (Croydon) – Delivery and takeaways from 4pm-11pm. They’re currently offering a Special Nashta Box.

Yasmeen Restaurant (St John’s Wood) – Located in St John’s Wood, Yasmeen’s has returned.

 

OUTSIDE LONDON


Artisan Desserts (Birmingham) – Ali Imdad of Great British Bake Off fame reopens (5.30pm-12pm) with an opening weekend offer of 20% off collections and 15% off delivery.

Bobata (Hammersmith) – The food truck that specialises in American grilled, corned beef Reuben sandwiches will soon be offering delivery and collection.

Cona (Bradford) – This fully Halal fine-dining establishment is offering a takeaway service from 5pm-10pm.

Desi Cafe (Sheffield) – This traditional Pakistani cafe is back open from 9am till 4pm.

Fargos (Birmingham) – Takeouts and deliveries (including Uber Eats) with opening times from 4pm – 10pm daily.

Farmhouse, The (Coventry) – Collection from 5pm-11pm with dine-in, or dine-on, service in their garden from 22nd June.

Flamin’ Patties (Birmingham) – As part of their reopening (4pm – 12am), they’re giving away free meals to the first 50 orders for NHS staff.

Frankster’s (Luton) – They’re available for both deliveries and collection.

Oodles Chinese (Leicester) – Newly refurbished store on Evington Road has reopened from 11am-12am everyday for deliveries and collection.

Papa Fries (Leicester) – Open everyday for delivery (Ubereats and Deliveroo) and collection.

Tawa & Grill (Birmingham) – They’ve launched their Takeaway Tawa Boxes for £8.99 each.

Wing Shack Co (Loughton) – Offering takeaway and delivery (Deliveroo, UberEats and JustEat) until 9pm.

LONDON


Apple Butter (soon – Covent Garden) – They immersive cafe has announced that it’ll be introducing both delivery and collection very soon.

HS&Co (soon – Stratford) – While a specific date hasn’t been announced, this steak-cum-pizza place has announced the imminent return of Chef Hamza.

 

OUTSIDE LONDON


Grounded Kitchen (16th June – Leicester) – Reopening 16th June for click and collect service via from their Queens Road store only with orders placed online via their website only.
