A new Somali restaurant which promises to serve “[t]raditional Somali Food in an exceptional setting” is looking “to be open during the week” in west London.

Having “invested in state of the art equipment”, Sabiib will be opening in Acton’s High Street to introduce the “amazing dishes and flavours [of Somalia] to the wider public”.

Calling itself the “UK’s premier Somali restaurant” and with “owners [that] bring you years of hospitality and retail experience at the highest level”, the restaurant says it will be “[s]erving authentic Somali food within an exceptional setting”.

The menu comprises of Small Plates that include Maraq lamb broth soup, and the Somali-style salad Ansalaato; and Mains like Muufo & Maraq, which has sourdough flat bread topped with beef or chicken suqaar; and a slow-cooked lamb shoulder called Haniid.

While platters are available for 2-5 people with Somali rice and pasta topped with the Haniid and other meat choices, there’ll also be a selection of Somali Sweets, such as the Somali-style pancake Malawah.
