Indian fine-dining Heritage opens tomorrow in Dulwich

We are very excited about this new fine-dining Indian restaurant that’ll open tomorrow not least because its executive chef is none other than Dayashankar Sharma!
For those of you who know your Halal-friendly fancy restaurants, you’ll know that Chef Sharma was also behind award-winning Grand Trunk Road (GTR) in South Woodford.

This fine-dining establishment became only the third restaurant we’ve reviewed to be rated a perfect 5/5 back in 2017 before going on to be voted our #FtLionAwards Restaurant of the Year.
Well, Chef Sharma will be the man behind Heritage in West Dulwich which is scheduled to open on Rosendale Road.
More importantly, FtLion has been informed by management: “We can confirm that our chicken and lamb is Halal, but the venison and duck is not.”
And Chef Sharma himself has confirmed with us that all non-Halal dishes will be prepared and cooked separately.
Opening as a takeaway service, Heritage aims at putting a contemporary spin on traditionally grounded recipes, with its Home Dining offering nostalgic family-taught dishes and unusual foods from lesser-known Indian regions and communities.
With over 30 years of experience, including Michelin-starred Indian kitchens like Tamarind and Zaika, Chef Sharma has created the following five Sharing Menus:
- Heritage Rajputana – going back to their roots and inspired by the Land of the Rajputs in Northern India, signature dishes will include Murgh Makhani, Kashmiri Lamb and Dal Makhani.
- Rajputana Vegetarian – a take on the above, with dishes like Paneer Makhan Masala, Broccoli ke Kofte and Bhindi Masala.
- Heritage Grill – showcasing their tandoori grill menu with popular dishes like Chicken Malai Tikka, Lucknowi Murgh Kebab and Lamb Chops.
- Heritage Coastal Sack – a sharing menu that includes dishes like Grilled Salmon, Masala Sea Bass and Prawn Curry.
Available to order for delivery to a range of south London postcodes, Heritage’s specially designed collection and delivery menu is also the brainchild of Chef Sharma.
