Spoon & Rice introduce Filipino in Croydon Boxpark

While there aren’t many Filipino food brands that cater for Halal in London, Spoon & Rice certainly does.
Having only recently opened in Hawley Wharf Camden, the street food vendor now joins others catering for Halal at Boxpark Croydon in south London.
The business has confirmed with FtLion that the Pinoy Grilled Chicken, Spoon & Rice Wrap (Chicken), Spoon & Rice Lumpia (Chicken), and the Chicken Juander are all Halal.
They have also stated that these dishes – available at Unit 11 – are all prepped and cooked separatelty to avoid cross-contamination.
Claiming to be London’s “fastest growing Filipino Street Food” brand, their menu draws on the “rich cultural history of colonisation with influences from Spanish, American, Japanese, Malay, Chinese, Western and Pacific Islander” cuisines.
With sites in Boxpark Wembley, Hawley Wharf Camden, and now Croydon, they are gearing up to launch a fourth in north London’s Willesdon soon.
