Somali brand Damal launched its third business yesterday called Damal Village in Slough (credit: Zaman Siddiqui).
With Damal Banqueting and Damal Restaurant both in east London’s Stepney Green, this latest venture is located in Jubilee Street’s Queensmere.
“At Damal, we pride ourselves on bringing the authentic flavors of Somalia to your table,” its says on their website.
With their fully menu menu said to be “a testament to the diverse and flavorful nature of Somali cuisine”, they offer a number of traditional dishes.
In addition to breakfasts, they do a signature dish, Haniid, which is a slow-cooked lamb that’s marinated in a blend of spices; as well as Nafaqo, which is a mashed sweet potato spinach; and Beef or Chicken Sogaar.
