Rooster Shack in Woking wins ‘Gold Seal’ Good Food Award 2022

A Halal “gourmet fast food” brand has received the Good Food Award’s highest accolade this week – the Gold Seal.

Rooster Shack in Surrey won the award for ‘Best Takeaway’ 2022 in Woking three years in succession.

Having been recognised as the leading takeaway since 2020, the business joins an elite group of restaurants to have achieved this distinction.

The multi-award winning restaurant on Maybury Hill, which is known for its secret homemade piri piri marinades, is also gearing up for a busy 2022.

“The key to our success involves three things: quality ingredients; our unique sauces; being selective in who we give our franchise to,” brand owner Imran told FtLion.

With a sister-branch in Hampshire’s Aldershot, he also revealed that Rooster Shack will be launching its first flagship store in Birmingham by March where he hopes to challenge established brand Pepes.
