Michelin chef Atul Kochhar opens Riwaz in Beaconsfield today

Double Michelin chef Atul Kochhar launches Halal-friendly Riwaz in Buckinghamshire’s market town of Beaconsfield later today at noon.
Though scheduled to open in November last year, the man behind Mathura, Masalchi , and Kanishka (all rated 4.5/5 by FtLion) adds another feather to his cap.
While this fine dining establishment is located on Aylesbury End, with free parking available on the high street, a second Riwaz appears to be lined up for The Pantiles in Tunbridge Wells.
According to the website, Riwaz offers a “menu inspired by history, stories and practices from his experiences growing up in different parts of India”, with Atul confirming the lamb and chicken, prepped and cooked separately to avoid cross-contamination with any non-Halal meat, to be Halal.
With his Naga Scallops at Kanishka in London’s Mayfair winning the #FtLionAwards Best Seafood in 2019, his desserts menu at Mathura impressed with ‘Chocolate’ winning #FtLionAwards Best Dessert 2021, and Atul’s Murgh Tikka Pie being voted Readers’ Choice: Best Starter.
