A new smokehouse and grill inspired by some of the finest casual dining meat eateries in New York City has quietly opened in London Holloway.

Located on the corner of Caledonian Road and Roman Way, Rack & Bone will be looking to compete in the relatively new but growing Halal premium barbecue space.

Featuring an array of burgers, ribs, grilled chicken and hot dogs “made with meat from a handful of carefully selected, sustainable UK suppliers”, the menu will also include milkshakes and sodas.

Further sites will be launched in quick succession in and around London and the home counties including in Hemel Hempstead… and Welwyn Garden City.

Their burger range appears to be an exciting one, at least by name, with the Raging Bull, The Rodeo, The Greek, and The Moving Mountain, along with the choice of building your own.

With flavours including spicy Korean, naga fire, garlic and parmesan, smoky chipotle and the fiery “bang bang, their Grilled Chicken range is also an enticing one.

Alongside Gourmet Hot Dogs, Rack and Bone also offer a selection of Wraps with various fillings and toppings, and a myriad of Sides like Mexican rice, Cajun onion rings, and homemade beef gravy.

More importantly during lockdown, the 15-cover restaurant’s meat dishes can also be enjoyed at home via takeaways and deliveries.

We’ve been informed that further Rack & Bone “sites will be launched in quick succession in and around London and the home counties – including in Hemel Hempstead (a 24-cover site) [on the High Street] and Welwyn Garden City (50 covers) [on Fretherne Road]”.

  • Would not recommend, advertised as slow cook ribs, instead very chewy, nearly £14 for there ribs and fries upset as I don’t like waste, but I cannot in good conscience finish eating this, what’s worse they had a bad review about the very same thing a few months before and you of thought they would of taken this on board, I was not aware of this until I started eating or rather chewing and chewing and chewing, the good thing regardless of there reviews I will not be going back.
